"As a Director of Engineering, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing the engineering operations and maintenance of the hotel. You will ensure that all engineering systems and equipment are functioning properly and efficiently, in compliance with the local and international standards and regulations. You will also manage the engineering budget, inventory, contracts, projects, and staff. You will also coordinate with other departments, such as housekeeping, front office, security, and food and beverage, to ensure guest satisfaction and safety."

The job requirements are:

"- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering or related field

- 10+ years of experience in engineering management or similar role in a 5-star hotel

- Certified Engineer or equivalent qualification

- Excellent technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills

- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

- Fluent in English and Swahili, and preferably another foreign language

- Proficient in Microsoft Office and engineering software

- Knowledge of local laws, codes, and regulations

- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks

- Flexible to work on shifts, weekends, and holidays"
